Ditto Nail Art

 This past weekend I went out for tacos on Friday and then my friend practiced nail art on me on Saturday!

Walking around 30 minutes under the summer sun is really hot!  My face was all sweaty so my outfit photo doesn't show my face haha!

My friend is learning how to do nails. This was her first time (and mine) dealing with 3D/molding gel, so it was a bit difficult!  Overall it took 4.5 hours.  We ran over the original time by half an hour so I suggested to change the original design.  The thumbs originally had a Master Ball and a shiny Ditto, but because mixing colors takes a while, plus the Master Ball design is more complicated, I simplified it. 

 

The 3D/modeling gel is surprisingly difficult to work with!  So the Ditto are not all smooth, plus when setting under the UV lamp, it can get HOT!  I had to pull out my hands periodically to cool off before putting back under the light.

Also she forgot to buff the nails on my right hand before starting color application, so my right pointer finger polish came off the next day.  We're going to see how the left and right hands compare in terms of longevity.  It's SCIENCE!

It's pretty fun having these nails on! The glitter layer is so shiny, especially under the bathroom light!  I'm not sure why just the bathroom lighting 😹 

Next time she'll need to grind them off, which makes me nervous as the e-file can damage your nails if you don't do it right!  I've never had my gel removed by e-file before.  But that's because I previously waited for them to fall off or I picked them off, which is also damaging 😹 So I suppose in 2-4 weeks we'll see!
