Sushi Day + Recent Gets!

Catching up on posts after the week-long adventure!!

On Wednesday I went out for a nice sushi lunch with some friends.  I did a purple x pink coordinate for the hot, muggy day!  I took this photo after I got home so my sunscreen is melting on my face...

The sushi was really good, but rather expensive!! The onsen egg with salmon cost NT$158/~US$5 for just those two tiny bites! The other three plates were NT$98/~US$3 each.  Delicious, but I'll be sticking to the NT$40 plates at Kura and Sushiro for the time being 😹

 

 

Then on Friday I received the package I'd ordered on taobao during the hospital stay!  I browse shopee and taobao a lot on my phone when we're at the hospital, and inevitably make a little order... It's for my kawaii life!

 

First up is some hair ribbons in black and white!  They come with clips facing opposite ways so it's easy to clip onto either side of the head. 

Then I also got a couple phone straps, but I think I need to change my phone case as mine is holding my cards and I'm afraid the cards will fall out if help upside down like this.  Otherwise, I can just move the cards from the case.

I was definitely influenced by kayz0rbeam's Liz Lisa phone strap!  So I got one in black and one in pink to match different outfits.

I did get another ruffled white phone strap, but that's for my ita bag for Violet.  That one is fabric so I can put pins on it!  No photo, but it's just a pretty simple strap with white netting ruffled on it haha.

Main purchase item was this black jacket for winter.   The fur is SO soft! I was surprised! I was expecting the average faux fur feel, but this really feels so luxurious~  And it's got ribbons woven on the sleeves, bunny ears, and big pearl buttons!  Can't wait to wear it in the winter!

Just for fun, I also got some face gems/pearls (not very interesting to photograph haha) and these Cardcaptor Sakura pain nails!  I had to look up why these types of nails are called 痛甲/pain nails, and apparently it's because they are in "painted" style so "paint nails" got corrupted into "pain nails" and then translated back into Chinese 😹

Anyway, they are very clear images!  I'm not sure what I'll wear them with, but really want to give them a try soon!

What is your go-to shopping site/app that you browse the most?  Or are you still a brick-and-mortar type of shopper?  Online/app shopping has become so easy but so dangerous because of how convenient it is!  Sometimes you just swipe card before thinking!
