2025 Tokyo Wedding Trip Day 9 - Really Woozy from Being Sick

We didn't head out until lunch time on Wednesday! Much-needed rest was had.  I was really sick on this day, and I think I had a mild fever, so my memory is spotty!!

 

We headed to a soba place ObliquerStrategies had saved and it was so nice!  I could definitely tell that my taste was affected by my stuffed up sinuses and lack of smell, but it still tasted nice.  I got a simple egg soba. 

 Honestly, I forgot what we were doing after... but Switchboard.op wanted to see the All of Evangelion exhibit, and that's where we headed!

I.... know zero things about Evangelion 🙃 But I like the mech things they have, so I was hoping for models of them to be present.

Unfortunately, there was only ONE model in the whole exhibit right at the beginning!  It was very cool though. I should have gotten a side angle as well!!  My brain really was completely deflated this day.

 

The rest of the exhibit was various types of artwork, sketches, panels, etc. from the series which would be very cool if you are a fan and know what those mean.  There was also a pretty neat rotating 3D projection of a ship thing, but no photo/video allowed.  

 

The tickets cost 2400JPY but I sped through the entire thing in about five minutes 😹😹 and sat in the sun for an hour.  I don't regret it though!  I was happy to go with my friends and the nap in the sun really helped.  Also I got to wear my cool CTCTYO cat ears out 😻 and of course did not remember to take any photos at all!

In the evening we went for Mister Donut as the other two hadn't had it before!  I just wanted the Pokemon collaboration and wasn't disappointed!

I bought this cute chubby Pikachu donut!!!  The crispy bits were quite sweet, but the inside was nice and regular misdo-style donut and vanilla cream.  Paired with an Americano it was nice!

We finished up some last-minute shopping at Donki where I bought a Slowpoke kigurumi and some KitKat. If my brain had been working better, I would have gotten better souvenirs but... I left it until the end and then could barely think.

 

Originally we were going to meet ImaginaryDuke and Potato.Lau for one last dinner, but I was just too sick and ObliquerStrategies was too tired, so we stayed in and the three boys met up instead.

 

I had another soak in the tub and a fitful sleep where I had to wake up every 10-20 minutes (seriously; the clock on the desk was always only moving 10-20 minutes) to blow my nose.  It was ridiculous.  I also got fever sweats.  This was the night before my flight 🙀🙀🙀🙀
