Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary Exhibition

On Saturday I went to the Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary exhibition with some Twitch friends!!

It was cool! We had tickets for 2pm and got in line then. They let us in in small batches at the beginning to avoid crowding, I assume.
Tough little fighter!

There were quite a few photo opportunities inside!

The latest game, Monster Hunter Wilds

Once they got a group of us inside to the screen area (photos below) they played a little video celebrating all the games!

Then there was a room where each weapon was displayed on the wall and you could scroll on a screen and the weapon would change.  Quite cool!  I don't know how to embed video properly so I've only got some photos.

The next room was a screen where you could select a monster and see its armor sets.  But I think it only showed the most recent armor design, as the Kirin armor set showed the Iceborne design only.

There was also some concept art shown!

How cute is the witch theme design?

There was also life-sized statues!!

And a partially-3D Black Fatalis attack room!

Afterwards was a merch shop!  We weren't really supposed to take photos inside, which I saw after I took photos, so here's the couple snaps I took.

Khezu T-shirt for NT$1900/~US$63???  It's not even that cute!

My favorite item I saw was the Nibelsnarf coin purse!! It even had the little throat bobble thing on the inside!!!  It was so detailed, but I don't use coin purses and it cost NT$1100/~US$37

The cute derpy monster!

I bought a door curtain, but don't have a rod for it so I can't hang it up yet.  I'll show it when I get it up!  The fabric is a bit rougher than I would have liked, especially compared to my Cardcaptor Sakura door curtain, but the print is nice at least.

Overall it was a great exhibit!  There was an AR section in the middle, but no photos or video was allowed.  It basically had us put on VR headsets and then we could see lifesize 3D models of 16 monsters one at a time + one surprise deviljho who invades halfway through.  The models were so cool!!  I tried to reach out and pet the fluffy monsters like Zinogre and Nargacuga :3

And we end on a makeup shot!  I used a green primer on this day which I think made me look WAY too pale.  It's not as obvious in photos compared to real life, but it was quite the stark contrast between my face and body in my opinion, so I won't be using the green one again... maybe save it for gothic looks??

What was your first/favorite Monster Hunter game?  How many have you played in total?  I started on MHGU on the Switch and played every game since then.  It's hard to pick a favorite as they all play differently!!!  I also never tried Stories, though the aesthetics are adorable.
