Coordinate Reviews

Since one of my goals for the year was to coordinate my main pieces in more varying ways, I decided to put together a few collages of dresses to see how I have been coordinating them.

It was a lot of scrolling through my phone camera!  I just put together the most recent four photos of each dress that I could find.  I don't always take coordinate photos though, so there's some missing.

Blouse: Blue or white
Socks: White
Shoes: Blue or white (but the white ones have since been tossed)

I really like how this looks with the blue blouse and shoes, though I think white blouse and blue shoes is good, too.  I'm not sure if this would look good with black at all?  The telephones in the print are a bit darker, but I'm afraid black would be too heavy.

I think a lavender blouse would also look nice!  I should have a short-sleeve lavender blouse I believe... unless that's the one I lost in Japan years ago 🙀  Pink shoes should also work due to the pink ribbons in the print... I'll have to try a white blouse and pink shoes or pink blouse and pink shoes!

Blouse: Teal, blue, pink
Socks: White, blue
Shoes: Pink, blue
I actually bought a pair of yellow shoes for this dress but had to return them due to wrong size (that's a whole other drama story that's not resolved yet) and the proper size is not in stock yet

The blue blouse also allows me to remove the yoke piece on this dress!  The teal and pink blouses are a bit transparent, so I have to keep the yoke in place. I think I could also coordinate this with a while blouse as that would match the underskirt!
I have a short-sleeve white blouse with blue ribbon detail that would work well.  The long-sleeve white blouse would also work, I think!

Pause

I will be most likely unable to update for a week or so... because I am moving!!! Hopefully it will all go smoothly and I will be able to start a new series on home decor (or at least room decor) and start with sewing tutorials again as soon as I get set up.

So look forward to Aurora's Chateau series about house and home styling (hey, if you're going to be in the same room for 100 years in enchanted sleep, it better be a really awesome room!)

I'll finish this off with the results of my February Challenge. It is 4 days early, but as I start packing I don't think I will be able to do any new coords... only three were completed! 囧rz

The themes I was going for were:
1) A more "mature" but cute look with a blazer and makeup
2) A casual schoolgirl look with black as the contrasting color
3) My first try at something Ero! This is taken with a webcam, so sorry for the poor quality! I created bustles with safety pins and removable bows which were pinned to D-rings on the corset from Scoundrelle's Keep (this is a Charlotte Cincher)

Not a very successful challenge, but it was still fun, especially the Ero coord :) I didn't wear it out of the house, but I liked trying something new!

February Coordinate Challenge!

Aah I almost forgot to make a challenge for this month! Since gaining weight I have not been very keen on wearing Lolita D: But I will still make this challenge!

The challenge for this month, is One Dress 7 Ways! Inspired by the One Piece 7 Ways on Moments Like Diamonds, the whole point of this challenge is to take one OP/JSK/SK and coordinate it in 7 different ways. Or as many as you can manage :) You don't have to wear all 7, I suppose, but just taking a photo of a coordinate to share!

You can also use Polyvore to coordinate if you prefer that way, though it is more fun and challenging to use pieces you already have!

Update on the Poses series:
I am scheduling posts on the poses! So hopefully it will be helpful or at least entertaining to you all :D I tried to only take photos from GLB and Kera showing Lolitas because not all poses I know of work for Lolita fashion ;) The big, puffy skirt obscures a lot of leg poses, haha! So I will be starting with the number poses. I think I have one schedule for later today, actually... :D

Also, I have reached 50 followers! I am thinking of doing a small giveaway with cute notebooks. Cute, printed notebooks are much more common here and I LOVE having cute everyday use items. I will be picking up some sweet or cute notebooks from local shops soon~

January Coordinate Challenge Result!

First off, I am sorry for the lack of updates - I have gotten sick recently. For the past few days, I have been drinking copious amounts of water and editing photos for that pose series I am working on :)

How many of you did the coordinate challenge? Leave a link in the comments if you have photos uploaded somewhere!

January's challenge was to coordinate everything with BLACK! Let's see how I did...

5 outfits! I am most happy with the last one because it was the most creative, I think. I layered my pirate skirt over my tartan JSK and the result is a little bit punk-style I think!
