My favorite horror mangaka had an exhibition here and originally I couldn't get anybody to go with me (my lolita friends feel it's too scary) but luckily, a different friend invited me to the exhibit so we went a yesterday!

Pokemon Go 10th Anniversary Event

Last week I went to a Pokemon Go 10th Anniversary event at an MRT station!  It was small and not well-organized in my opinion, but it was fun to visit on my way to a beauty expo!  

Pokémon Rayquaza TCG Thing(?)

On Friday I made a trip all the way out to Lalaport Taipei to see the 15:00 Rayquaza dragon dance performance. I actually didn't know what the event was for but dragon dance is a regular and popular performance in Chinese culture especially around Chinese New Year, and I myself have performed in dragon dance before, so of course I was hype to see it in a pokémon style!

I really wanted to wear my pokémon fashion but it's very different from my regular style and to be honest, I was not feeling too confident in my look that day. 

The event seems to be for a new TCG launch!  The performance was unfortunately cancelled. We still took some photos with the setup there, but it was honestly disappointing. 

They did not give us a reason why it was cancelled last minute, but later the news did report a bit of the ceiling of Lalaport Taipei fell down that afternoon, so it may have been related. 

We went to the Pokémon Center for some pokémon goodness, but didn't buy anything. 

 I was also pretty uncomfortable in leggings. They're Magikarp and Shiny Gyarados leggings, but being fully polyester (prints are clearer or synthetics), they don't breathe well in the summer. Compared to tights, it felt much more noticeable. 

Have you ever watched a dragon dance performance before? It was only happening this weekend and I didn't want to make the trip out there again so I didn't catch any of the later performances. Hopefully it will return someday!

Bandai Namco Pop Up

Thank you to those who commented to wish my mother well! The first dose was a small one to test reactions and so far things have been going well~ The weekend was uneventful and I played Palworld all day haha!

Then yesterday I went to a Bandai Namco pop up shop and display. Despite being a Monday, it was crowded and lines were very long. I would have loved to do the stamp collection (get a postcard and visit different stamping stations where the stamps layer together to form a full image) but the queues!!!!
