Sky Lantern

 On Friday I took a half day off work to go to 平溪 (PingXi) with my mom and little sister to experience sky lanterns!

The shop offered both modern markers and traditional calligraphy brushes for writing/drawing on the lanterns.

Since I can't do calligraphy, I drew pictures instead. The pictures on the right are by my little sister.

Sky lanterns are meant to take your wishes up to the skies so you're meant to write your name and the blessings you wish to receive.  The colors of the lanterns also have different meanings (the staff will explain to you) or you can get multicolored lanterns to get all the meanings at once!

Rose House with Fruuuuefrue

 It's been years since I've been to Rose House and my little sister Fruuuuefrue wanted afternoon tea, so we went there yesterday!

It was nice to visit this branch again!  Several other branches have closed down. This one is in a tourist area so I hope that means they have better business!  It's small, but still elegant.

Twinning with Teddy

 Twinning in Lolita fashion is a lot of fun!  When I went out, I twinned with my teddy bear~  We met up with Kamiko to grab some food and chat a bit.

Afterward we went to a Pink House (fashion brand) retailer that I didn't even know existed!  Apparently there is enough demand for Pink House style clothing that there is an official shop.  It's pricey, but it's quality, similar to Lolita fashion.  Save up for a few good pieces that will last you decades instead of cheap clothing that falls apart or looks worn after a few seasons!

This area was on the second floor of a building, but each shop decorated their exterior nicely!

We passed by a lot of fursuiters while we were out. I think they had a meetup?  They're cute, but it looks like it'd be so hot!  There was also a yukata event where you could try on yukata and get your hair done, so it was VERY crowded that day!

Recent Random Outings

 Since my little sister Fruuuuefrue is visiting from the US, I've been going out pretty much every day!  But been too tired from going out to blog properly.

Last Sunday we went to a drag show at an outdoor café.  It was my first drag show in years!  I'd previously only been to ones where I knew the performers personally for charity events, so this was different!

I wore something spooky and did my makeup.

NGL I didn't take the vest off at all because I was self-conscious about my lack of a defined waistline
