Halloween 2025 at Maid Cafe and Tamsui!

 YAY Halloween!!  Well, today is Halloween, but I actually celebrated on Wednesday and Thursday instead.  Tonight, I'm staying home (cancelled on an event I was going to attend) to watch movies in discord 😹

On Wednesday, I went to the maid cafe with some friends and leveled up my VIP card!  Which means I got vouchers for phone/camera photo with two maids, so I chose to take a photo with Lena and Yume!  

My costume is a closet costume again, and it's supposed to be the Queen of Hearts!  This is my first time wearing a tiara, and it was actually pretty secure!  I was afraid it would be wobbly.  On Wednesday, I accidentally hid the light switch too far in my hair and I couldn't turn the lights on for photos 😿

 I got the fish burger as usual, along with the set meal this time!

Violet was my Alice in Wonderland.  It's also a closet costume 😹

Exo also gave me a whole bag of gifts from our Singaporean friends as he just went on an impromptu trip to Singapore last week during our holiday weekend!

 Honestly, I am so blessed!!! O_Q  Why are my friends so nice???

 

I think I could have drawn red hearts on my face with lipstick or something to make the costume more obvious, but I kind of also like having a "wearable" costume.  There are hearts on my lashes at least!

 On Thursday I met up with a couple friends to go to Tamsui (close to the ocean) but first we stopped by for seasonal Halloween Cold Stone ice cream at a department store!

Also I put the light switch in a more accessible spot on my head. It's visible, but at least I could turn on the lights for photos!

 The ice cream was not as sweet as I thought it would be, which is nice!

 Then we took the MRT to Tamsui and got some coffee at a little cafe~ 

Climbed a hill to get some 阿給/ah gei, fried tofu with vermicelli inside!  I got mine spicy

I think I did a better job with the black eyeshadow on Thursday compared to Wednesday.  On Wednesday I was really lazy and went right in with the fluffy blending brush, so the black was a lot messier than I had originally intended.  On Thursday I went in with the flat packing brush first, then the fluffy blending brush, as things are meant to be 😹

We went to a museum of the old Dutch/English.... meeting place?  Like it originally housed canons when the Dutch were there and then the British came and did official stuff there.

Can you tell I don't know history at all?  Read about it and forget instantly. 

I mostly took video of some of the preserved rooms inside, but I don't know how to post video on Blogger to be honest...  And the Little White House did not allow photos inside at all.  So here are some outdoors photos!

After exploring all the buildings, we went to the old street to walk around and eat more.

It was a really nice couple days!  I then went to a friend's house to play mahjong until midnight 😹 I only won three games, but had a lot of fun!
 

 Happy Halloween! Thank you for taking time to read/comment on my blog posts.  I feel like I have very poor memory so taking photos and reliving the moments will hopefully help me retain my days and experiences!  I appreciate those who are a part of this with me~
