Christmas 2024 Lolita Meetup

Oops I let my blog posting get away from me!  However I did not take any photos at new year of my outfit 😿 so I'll just post about the Christmas meetup from Saturday 👍

I have been wearing the same couple outfits for Christmas since 2018 or so, but this year I got some reindeer horns to change things up!

They're very light but very tall!  Probably 10cm at least. I actually got caught in the handholds on the MRT when I stood up to get off at my stop 😹

We went for Christmas-themed afternoon tea~

Savory dishes

The sandwich at the front of the plate is unassuming, but it was actually super delicious!  Smoked salmon made into some type of spread and with spring onion(?) on bread!  The seafood salad was also nice.  The dressing was strongly-flavored, so it needed to be mixed in properly before eating.  The skewer was tomato and cheese, which I love!  The other two dishes had meat, so I took the duck or ham(?) out of the croissant and had just the bread and veg, and gave the other dish to my friend.

The sweets tower was very strawberry-themed!

I enjoyed all the sweets~  The reindeer is actually rose flavored!  🌹  I had been expecting strawberry, but really love rose.  The macaron had a chocolate filling, which surprised me. I prefer fruit fillings, I think.  The gummy sweet was EXTREMELY sweet as gummy sweets tend to be.  I needed a lot of coffee and water to get through it.

Everybody brought their dolls and we had a big group photo of them!   Violet is twice as tall as the other dolls.  So many cute plushies!

After the afternoon tea and chatting, some girls split to go home and the rest of us went for dinner.  While waiting for a table to open up, we went to a Japanese drugstore to wander and stay out of the cold.

We were actually queuing for two different restaurants at the same time to see which one opened up first, and it was Waku Waku Pasta!  I love this place!

I got a set meal so I could have a drink and appetizer.  Of course I chose truffle fries because I LOVE truffle fries!

And this restaurant is generous with the truffle sauce!

When our noodles came, we all exchanged a bit with each other so we could try various dishes.  I got a mentaki and squid pasta.  So delicious!  Japanese pasta flavors are so good~

Overall, it was a wonderful day and a great end to the year!
