This past Saturday we had our October Halloween lolita tea party!!! I tried something different with the eye makeup, but didn't bother with a full face.
Hair from the back! I rarely get a chance to use this purple pumpkin cat clip/pin I got from the Lolita Market a while back. It matched nicely with my purple monster ears!
Doro brought a little display for our dolls to sit at! And the other girls had Halloween outfits for many of the dolls! Violet is wearing a Queen of Darkness shirt I made her, but you can't see it too well in the group photo.
The savory dishes were interesting and delicious as always!
The only thing that seemed a bit off to me was the rambutan with blueberry and sauce, but that's likely because I removed the parma ham so there was no savoriness to balance out the sweetness of the fruits.
The sweets this year were really cute! Every piece had a decoration on it!
The decorations were mostly chocolate, though the pumpkin and witch's hat were made of some type of clay-like sweet that didn't taste nice, so I only tried a bite.
Center: Valrhona 72% Mousse
The ghosts on the dark chocolate mousse had different facial expressions and bodies! Niya got one that had derpy eyes and was so cute!
We had a fun time and also traded materials for making backgrounds for our ita bags. Plus, Hako passed out things she'd picked up in Japan as shopping service, and also gifted us all some Disney cookie packets!
I didn't join for dinner as I went to a friend's house to play mahjong instead (I really enjoy casual mahjong now!)
Now I need to go pick up some clear plastic to cut out backing for Violet's doll bag~
Shoes: Sheep Puff
The eyeliner I used was an essence one with a felt tip, which I think drags on the skin more so it doesn't make as fine of lines. But it's the only one that's black enough and doesn't dry up if I draw thick lines. I have three open black eyeliners now because I kept buying new ones to do gothic makeup with, but the Asian brands I got only seem to work for the more subtle makeup that doesn't do bold, black lines. I do love Kate Tokyo for the fine tip and it's great for my regular Lolita makeup, but it doesn't work for thick lines. Neither did the 1028 one I got. So now I need to figure out how to use up the other two black eyeliners 😹
Happy Halloween!! Do you have any Halloween plans? I'm not sure if I'll do anything on the actual Halloween day.... contemplating attending a party but it's far away and I'm lazy!

Happy Halloween! As always you make the most amazing coords! <3 I really love how you put it all together. And the food looks amazing. I really like the look of the sweets the most XD
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about eyeliners. I have so many open ones cause they end up not working how I need them lol But hopefully you can find ways to use them. Also I don't even do full face anymore. I just wear makeup for very RARE special events and work. So no real need for face lol
Pretty much the only things I'm doing are work and having a little pizza movie night with my husband. Though we are doing a themed group costume at work! So that will be fun <3
you look so cute!! I really love the all black outfit and the mkeup is really cool. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ tbh i always kind of end up hating any eyeliner I have after like a couple weeks. It's so hard to find one that draws like I want it to, especially since I have this little part of my eye at the outer corner that always makes the eyeliner skip. I have a couple liners for different looks, lol. Or I try to just to looks that don't require it to be very pointy and winged xD
