Matcha Tea Party

 On Sunday May 5 we had our May tea party!  Same place as usual, JR 東日本 Metropolitan Hotel, and the theme for the afternoon tea this time was matcha flavor!  The price went up a tad (NT$700 >> NT$740) but it's still worth it in my opinion as everything is delicious!

The weather has been unstable recently and it started storming suddenly while we were having tea, but fully cleared up by the time we were done!  The storms do keep the temperature lower at least~

The food photos uploaded in reverse order, so here are the sweets first!

The matcha flavor wasn't overly bitter and several desserts mixed the matcha with other flavors so it didn't become boring.  There was also a nice mix of different textures.  Really a good tea set!

We joked that the towers were so green they looked like a forest!

The savory dishes didn't all contain matcha flavor, but were all delicious!

We were seated at a lower table this time, so it felt a bit awkward to eat that way, but we had a lot of fun!  Chatted about everything from housing to politics (be careful with that topic!) and work.  We stayed until closing again! 

Somehow we chatted so much we forgot about a group photo!!!  So have one of my face instead haha!

It was a great day to meet up with friends and hang out!  I had a lot of fun.
