On Friday I met up with a friend at one of the Taipei Main station Komeda Coffee (there's three) cafés to try out the pokémon collaboration dishes!
There's three dishes total. I ordered the Drifloon cheese balls and the Dragonite ice fire dessert, and my friend ordered the Ditto mentaiko shrimp patty sandwich.
The cheese balls were pretty good!
I mean, it's melty cheese so what's not to love?
The container had such a cute illustration inside!!! I brought it home to cut out and put it my junk journal.
The sandwich was massive! Originally I thought $330 was a bit pricey but the fact it's seafood plus how big it is, I guess it's more ok. Komeda Coffee is not a budget café after all!
I tried a small piece of the sandwich and it's nice!! The bread was soft, and the mentaiko and shrimp flavors were good!

The dessert arrived and thankfully was cut into four pieces already because the flaky pastry turned out to be difficult to cut!! We cut each quarter in half to make it easier to eat.
The warm pastry and cold ice cream were pretty good. The caramel bits on top added crunchy sweetness. It's definitely a sharing dessert for me! It'd be too much alone.
The most disappointing part of the meal for we was actually the coffee. It tasted smooth and was fine overall, but had no unique fragrance or detectable notes. At $130 for that size, it's definitely overpriced to me!!!
Each collaboration dish comes with a random shaker charm. There's only three options, the three Kanto starters, and they are next to Ditto! There's also a pokéball inside.
I got Charmander and Squirtle and my friend got Squirtle. No Bulbasaur for us this time!!

Who is your favorite Kanto starter? Mine is Bulbasaur! Haha. Should I go back to try to get it?
