Recent Outings

 Had some fun out with friends recently!  Last weekend I met up with a friend at Ximending just to chill.

We had some donburi! It wasn't cheap but it was delicious!  This salmon and roe donburi was NT$420 + 10%

 

 

The sushi chef wasn't in yet so we couldn't try any sushi, but I do like donburi as well!

We walked around and browsed, I was almost tempted into pulling an ichiban kuji for a Cardcaptor Sakura series (I resisted!), and we spotted this NOSTALGIC MEMORY CHARACTER!!!

I can still remember the commercial jingle for this guy (in Chinese)!!!  Loved the commercials! They were just little animated shorts of the mascot doing stuff.  Super adorable!

 Then earlier this week I had a random day out because work was broken and I couldn't work.  I already had makeup on to match my Halo shirt haha.  Green and gold look good together!!! 

Went to a restaurant and ate grass (that's a step above touching grass 😹)

 

NT$320 but only three slices of salmon 

This restaurant is pretty hit-or-miss with their dishes in my opinion.  The brunch I had last time was ok, the salad was really good but expensive, the fries I had last time were great, the potatoes this time were ok, the dessert was nice if you like croffles 😹

I'm personally not a huge fan of croffle because I feel the waffle iron pressing spoils the flaky goodness of a croissant.  The reason I like croissants is due to the flaky layers!  However, the tiramisu flavor was really bomb! It DOES contain alcohol, but it's not like I drive or anything 😹

 Overall some chill and happy days!

Do you like croffles?  There also the "cronut" trend some years back right?  Croissant doughnut?  I don't even remember what that was.... though I think I tried it!  Must not have made a good impression to forget it already.
