Sometimes an impromptu meetup is just what you need 😹 On Wednesday evening I met up with an online friend at Taipei 101. We'd just been chatting in a group voice chat and randomly decided to meet up. My original plan was to go to maid cafe, but they were closed for maintenance, so we went for Taipei 101 instead.
I ordered a spicy ramen ($230) and some corn korokke ($50).
The korokke was nice! Creamy with some corn inside.
The ramen arrives with a little card to tell you the steps for eating. They suggest drinking a spoonful of soup first to taste it, then having the soup with noodles, then having it all together with the toppings.
The ramen was really delicious, very mildly spicy (zero burn in my opinion), but somehow still felt like it was lacking depth. Overall, I would not make a special trip to have this again, but if I was nearby with somebody else who wanted to go, I wouldn't hate to go again.
Then we walked around the area and checked out ATT4Fun (department store) as well as a few of the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (sp?) department stores. We went to the Pokemon Center and in one of the other buildings there was a Studio Ghibli store with this cute Cat Bus photo setup!
I don't have a full outfit shot, but since I haven't bought new dresses since 2017 you've definitely already seen this outfit and probably this exact coordinate already 😹
What's your favorite Ghibli film? I have a hard time choosing to be honest... and there's several I haven't seen. I think for now I really enjoy the memories of Ponyo and most of Spirited Away. Of course Totoro as well, but I watched it quite young so I don't actually recall what it's about. I just like the characters!!

ReplyDeleteI have to say mine is the duo of Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns. With Kiki and Totoro right behind them. There's a lot of the movies I haven't seen yet though Dx I still want to watch the ones that a lot of people say aren't good lol
the cat bus is so cute!! I really like Kiki's delivery service. I saw spirited away earlier this year and it was interesting. They played it at the science center in the iMax theater and I went with my lolita group!! I still need to see Ponyo, I haven't watched very many Ghibli films!
