On Sunday I went to a weekend pop-up market event that focused on Tabletop Role-Playing Games and Live-Action Role-Playing. Though I have never done LARPing before, one of the local lolitas I follow on Instagram goes regularly and it looks interesting!
Plus, my friend's brand Little Rose Planet was going to be vending there so I went to check it out~

The makeup didn't photograph well, unfortunately

The market was fun! SO many people were dressed up in medieval and renaissance outfits! There were also outfits you could rent for a few hours to wear at the event itself. I also saw a few furries/beastfolk, and there were a few people with horns/elf ears as well! It was a bit like a miniature renaissance festival vibes~
There was a stamp event where you could do quests to earn a stamp in order to get a badge at the end! One of the quests would send you from booth to booth unlocking a story about who owes whom money, only to find the person who gave you the quest in the first place had the money that was owed 😹 So they effectively owed themselves money!
There were also collectible cards that would be used in a card game! I collected five cards total as I generally avoid TCG, but playing the game at one of the booths was nice. I lost, but it's ok!
Since I went alone, I don't have any photos of me at the events 😿 But I did have a lot of fun at the archery booth! NT$100 to get to shoot arrows! The practice was 5 shots at the dinosaurs. I hit it four times (fifth time I pulled the string at an angle so missed) and got three headshots.
Then had to hit the goblin head with three chances (right side of the below photo) and that was difficult! I did graze it once. Earned a card from this booth~
There were some interesting setups that would have been fun for photos if I'd had anybody to take photos of me!
And many vendors sold accessories and goods for costuming or LARPing. I love magical bottles and handmade books/notebooks and such, but don't really have chance to wear or use, so didn't really buy anything.
The red badge is the prize for completing five stamps!
Do you play any TTRPG or LARP? I'm currently in an online DnD group though I do prefer in-person if possible! I had a great group when I was in MN in 2019-2020. It can be difficult to find time in person so websites like Roll20 are really helpful for online groups!
