May Meetup!

 Yesterday I went out for a meetup with the usual group!  We went somewhere new.

I tried coordinating that new top I got from Bobon21 again, and I think the voluminous skirt balances out the widening of my shoulders and large puff sleeves better than the smaller skirt did.

The right sleeve slides down my shoulder because my shoulders are uneven 😿So I think I need to sew the sleeve a bit to make it tighter.

I also have new nails on! I love them so much.  Got this set on a whim and end up loving them!  I used to try and make my natural nails this shape, but due to the shape of my natural nails, the "oval" look  ends up a bit deformed from the angles of my natural nails.

Now I can finally have pretty oval nails!

I may look for more oval nails. I'd previously been looking into ballet only

There was a seasonal set at the restaurant, salad, mains, drink, and dessert.

The food was really nice!  It was raining out and many people around for another big big event, so there was table limit time of 2 hours.

We had a great time!  The souffle pancake was fluffy and delicious.

I did the heart braids hair again!

I think I need a haircut.  I also didn't make the hearts quite large enough I think.... plus my nail charms kept catching on the hair.

I also tried doing a slightly different makeup.  I contoured my tear bags a bit. Though I usually highlight them, I didn't previously contour underneath.  However, the shadows under my eyes are also kind of dark 😹so I'm not sure if it even looks good.

The shimmer highlight also didn't show up in the photo below very well, but I think it was ok IRL.  I also think I have been influenced by Instagram posts about Canmake's new cream blushes.... I want a pale, cool pink blush to use as a base or blending out for the other powder blushes I have!

I went a little hard on the blush and I think the edges didn't blend out as well as I'd have liked.  I dipped a little hard into the blush (Cardcaptor Sakura blush) that time!  I also like the lashes~

What inspires you to change your makeup style?  I change my colorful looks every time based on whatever I find on Youtube, but my lolita makeup tends to look the same each time.  This time I changed it after seeing all the douyin/Chinese dolly makeup, but I don't do the gap between upper and lower shadow, so it's like... a combination of Japanese and Chinese look now I guess???? Will keep working on it and experimenting 😹
