Time for another random update on what I've been up to! Last weekend I hung out with some friends. I actually didn't wear makeup when I went out, but saw a cool eye look on Instagram and wanted to try it out when I got home, so that's why I'm wearing makeup in the photo (but only eyemake)
It's been ages since I used my NYX Epic Wear white eyeliner... it's gotten a little thick and goopy, making it difficult to do fine points. I think the final look still turned out all right. Lipstick(?) is Kaleidos lip melt. It was my first time buying from Kaleidos, and I can't say it was the best experience 🙀

I also wore some Cardcaptor Sakura press-ons! Several of them came off easily though, as I don't think I prepped well enough, plus the gel stickers I used were not the best! So I only wore this set for about three days.
Recently Taiwan has been on a strange-chips-flavor kick, so I got two of the strange flavors from Lay's! I also really want the century egg Doritos, but they're always sold out.
The beer chips really smell and taste like beer! The beginning flavor is a bit sour, and then there is a lingering beer flavor afterwards. I actually don't really care for beer, so I will not be buying these again.
The durian flavor is mildly scented and flavored like durian. I think it captures the essence well without being overpowering. I will say that I do enjoy durian in general and don't find it stinky, though! So if you're not a fan of durian, it may be too pungent still.

The plates are a decent size, so I may go back for those if I can get people to join me. The plates are NT$250 add-on that you can buy per NT$500 spent on your meal. There are only 20,000 sets for the whole country, so I hope I can get a set, too! My friend bought a set that day.
The special orders are all meat, unfortunately!
There's a plates challenge again, but it's still for a drawing (meat tissue cover and barrel bomb in image above) so I'm not joining. Plus, I can't eat that much 😹
I wasn't very hungry so I just had a coffee sundae. It's a new item! NT$120, so not the cheapest, but it was decent. Coffee ice cream and coffee jelly with some whipped cream.
Afterwards, we went to the Capoo House shop again! I wanted to look for red envelopes for Chinese New Year. I only need one to give to my mom, but they usually come in packs, so I bought a pack of three.

The Capoo characters in horse costumes are so cute!! I'm not sure what I'll do with the stickers yet... maybe put some in my junk journal?
I wore my Amavel skirt again that day. The embroidery is really gorgeous! The edges are only finished with a tight overlock rather than turned and stitched, so it's not as high-end as Lolita clothing looks up close, but overall I really do love it! The hair clips are really pretty, too. I should have done detail photos!

In the evening I went to dinner with some family friends and then they helped us look over some paperwork while we had drinks at IKEA. Having friends who help each other out is really great!
On Tuesday I tried my hand at making gnocchi for the first time...
Clearly struggling... they don't even look like gnocchi!
I think I overkneaded my dough while still managing to leave it too sticky?? I felt like I added a lot of flour over and over, but it was still so sticky! So rolling them off the back of a fork didn't really add the lines... they just look like balls.
They still cooked up ok
I added some cheese and red sauce on top. I think it would have been better with white sauce or maybe olive oil and cheese, but it was still edible at least!!!
The texture was definitely off. I think I didn't mash the potato well enough? And possibly over-developed the gluten in the flour by kneading for too long.
Yesterday I went for tacos with a friend. I wore this 30th anniversary dress that I just really don't know how to coordinate! It's supposed to be a comfy and casual dress, but I think I make it look like pajamas 😿

I recall seeing a photo of Misako Aoki wearing this dress as-is and it looking very cute and casual on her, but not like pajamas? Is my torso just too long?
I think if I wore something around the waistline it would look better (´･ω･`)? Maybe?
