Handmade Market and Recent Outfits

I had a busy weekend!  On Saturday I went to play board games with some friends, and afterwards one of my other friends last-minute asked if I wanted to hang out, so I inhaled my dinner and went for round two of hanging out!

Wearing the shirt I designed!

Salmon donburi with takowasabi!

Then on Sunday I went to IKEA with my mom for brunch.  Her infection is under control but not fully gone, so chemotherapy is still being put off for now.

You can't even see the black ribbons in my hair because my hair is dark!

I wish IKEA gave more vegetables!

Then I decided to go to a Japanese Handmade Pop-up Market before meeting up with my friends.  I'd seen that an accessories brand I recently discovered on Instagram would be there, so it was an impromptu visit! The ticket price was NT$228 which was unexpected as I thought it'd be free, but I paid it anyway.

I didn't take many photos of stalls as I wasn't sure if that was allowed.

This one is cute! The staff was absent at the time, though

As it was the last day of the market, all the popular pieces were gone, but I still found an adorable pair of ice cream and ribbon charm earrings!  This cost NT$700.  The artist is super cute, but she was busy so I didn't get a photo with her.

The brand is called Honey Mignon if you'd like to check them out!

Then I just wandered around and happened upon a handmade berets shop with some mini hats and other accessories like deer with flowers on them.  I tried on a hat for Violet and it was so cute! The artist wanted a photo of Violet with the hat 😹 and I ended up buying the hat for her!  It was.... $1000 🙀 I spent more on my bear than on myself!

I cut and restitched the elastic under the hat so it can be slipped around her ear to keep the hat on.  It's not the most secure, but I can easily put it on whenever I pull her out for a photo!

On my way out, I passed by a Chiikawa pop-up.  It was specifically Chiikawa characters as sushi???  Very specific and niche, but lots of people were there!

The setup is cute!

There was an actual functioning conveyor belt sushi display of the toys!

On Monday I went for Popeyes with a friend.  I've actually never gone before because there weren't any in my area when I lived in the US, plus it's fried chicken so I was never interested.  But apparently they have a shrimp burger! So that's what I got!

The ordering is done through QR code which is a bit annoying and the layout isn't the best, but we managed to order combos! I got a shrimp burger, macaroni and cheese, and a small apple juice (which was still plenty of juice!)

The shrimp burger was pretty nice!  The patty wasn't dry and the coleslaw matches with fried food pretty well I think.

The macaroni was severely overcooked and the pasta all stuck together in a mass.  The cheese was actually decent.  I was expecting cheese sauce or something, but it seemed like real cheese and had cheesy strings and tasted all right!  Just the texture of the mushy pasta was quite off-putting 😿

Thanks for reading!  I hope you had a lovely weekend as well~
