I had a busy day on Wednesday!  Maid cafe, cat cafe, and chilling with friends in the evening!

Since the maid cafe had a Chinese theme for the week, I finally got a chance to wear my new Chinese-themed Lolita dress! I should have gotten an M instead of an L so I used a couple safety pins to keep it on better.

It was so hot!!  I guess the long sleeves protect me from the sun at least? 😹 The tights were also a bit thicker than I expected.  The print is pretty nice and subtly Chinese-themed.

The colors of my eyeshadow and color contacts don't seem to show up too well in the photos.  It was yellow, pink, and blue eyeshadow! And the color contacts are a subtle purple. It looked nice IRL!  Really like them.

The special meal for the maid cafe was dumplings which contain pork, so I got the fish burger I always get.  And also got a photo with Lena!

After our time was up at the maid cafe, I went and met up with another friend at a cat cafe called 貳巷貓弄/Catfeine!  Their menu has changed since I was last here.  Last time they had meals like brunch and pasta, and now they serve mostly fried sides and bahn mi.  I may try the bahn mi next time!

I just got a cappuccino here.  The place is small, but very clean and the cats are all friendly and fun!  Several of them are quite bold so will jump on your chair or table and be the boss.😽

The staff gives you a food cover to protect your food from the cats😹

My friend took this snap of me when I wasn't paying attention! Haha

They've got these photos of their cats as renaissance(?) paintings! It's so cute

We had a chill time!  After we finished our snacks and drinks, we went over to a bistro to kill time before meeting up with another friend.

Bistros are quite expensive in my opinion.  The two snacks above totaled NT$220 (minimum spend per person is NT$200) but they were delicious at least!  My friend got a laksa risotto(?) dish with fish and it was NT$280 so that seemed a better deal.  There was also freeflow clear soup, which is nice!  This bistro has a $899 all-you-can-drink deal on weekdays for three hours.  Might be nice to go there sometime and drink a lot?  Haha! With cocktails being $280-400+ in Taipei just three or four drinks will get your money's worth.  This bistro seemed to run on the lower end with drinks at $280-350ish.  The speakeasies and bars I've been to recently tend to be $350-400+!

One more outfit shot!

I wish I'd gotten an outfit shot at the maid cafe outside area!  Or gotten a photo of my hairstyle from the back. I'm no good at hanfu (Chinese historical clothing) hairstyle, so found a really simple one to do with my 髮簪(hair stick) but due to how frizzy my hair is, I doubt it looked very sleek or elegant the way it's meant to....

Hoping the new hairbrush I got helps with the breakage so it six months or so I have less frizzy hair!
