On the fourth day of birthday week we celebrated my birthday early! Originally we wanted to get the reservation for the day of my birthday (Friday) BUT the afternoon tea set was not available then! So we decided to go a day early!
KC: BABY THE STARTS SHINE BRIGHT
Necklace: Angelic Studio (local brand)
It was rainy when we arrived!
The afternoon tea took a surprising amount of time to be served. The final presentation was nice, and the food tasted fine (except for the awful fondue) but I have no idea why it took them so long to serve it. It wasn't even busy. There were three tables.
Savory salmon and cheese stack, and sweet yogurt
ice cream, I forgot the name of this chestnut cake... something marron?, cream puff, and two savory tarts
They also had a small Japanese-themed photo area set up!
We took some photos there!
I like this photo:

Overall I feel like the restaurant is aiming for one thing and not quite reaching it.
The aesthetics are there, but the service is not.
I also learned some stuff about lighting while we were taking this photo by the bathroom. I've got dark shadows under my eyes, and certain lighting really emphasizes that!! So figuring out how to light that area is a bit of a challenge.
This one looks like natural lighting shadows rather than "never slept in my life" shadows 😹
The rain stopped that evening, luckily, so we went to Shilin Night Market nearby!! After walking around and eating good food, we stopped by a little camp-themed bar to sit for a while!
Camp lantern!
The menu looked like a map and the seating was camping chairs. There's also pouf seats and an entire van-type vehicle (idk vehicles) inside that a larger party can sit in!
We each got one drink and it was decent! Mine was a bit smoky.
We also passed by this dog-clothes shop that had cosplay outfits! I took a photo of the Jojo ones to show my friend Sheep as she loves Jojo and has a cat 😹
I did eventually buy a lacy collar for Violet to wear as a skirt! It's super cute and cost $390 which is cheaper than just making one myself. Also I have no sewing machine any more haha!
Before leaving, we did another photobooth shooting as we found another Plan.B Studio here! It's the same brand as the one we did at Ximending the day prior. This time the theme we chose was elevator!
The filter they use makes the colors really pop! My blush looks so vibrant!
We also took a little mirror selfie~~
And found a random alley that looked cool, but didn't photograph as well as we'd hoped.
It was a fantastic day! Really had a lot of fun~
Gorgeous princess in the tea room! <3 love it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso Jojo clothing?! Yes pls.
