Ending of New Year Break

Can't believe New Year break is over already! Here's some snaps and summary of my weekend~

I don't think I've paired this JSK with pink completely before, so I matched it with a pink blouse and headbow this time. I think Pink x Red looks nicer than expected! 🩷❤️

I went to a friend's house to play mahjong. We didn't gamble this time as we're all beginners, just played for fun! One of the players brought Kuromi theme and Capoo theme mahjong set that works with the host's automatic mahjong table!!!

The Kuromi set only had special backs and flower tiles

The Capoo set changed some of the regular tiles too!

I won a few times, but not with any big hands. I'm not good at planning for big wins just yet!

Then yesterday I went to a different friend's place to play some board games! I didn't remember to take photos, but we played a fun game called 貓吃3辣(Cat Eats 3 Spice) which is a bluffing game. I'm terrible at bluffing, but in this game, when you call somebody's bluff, you ALSO have to specify if they're bluffing the spice or the number.

So even though one of my friends could easily tell when I was bluffing 90% of the time, he had TERRIBLE LUCK calling whether I was bluffing the spice or the number!!! I scored so many points because he called the wrong one 😹😹😹

I also got a poke bowl to try! I tried one once back in 2019 or so in the USA, and remembered it being pretty tasty.

There was quite a bit of veggies in the poke bowl! I got a base of half brow rice and half veg (lettuce?) which was then topped by corn, red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, edamame, carrots, and I think dragon's whiskey vegetable and guacamole? The sauce they put on top was also really nice!

It tasted very good, but really didn't keep me full for long 🙀 It cost NT$230 (about US$7.60) so I was disappointed that I was hungry so soon afterward. Definitely not an affordable option for daily meals, but nice as a treat from time to time!
