Valentine's Night Out

For Valentine's Day (night) I went out to some WLW bars with a couple friends!  During the day I did a bit of free talk practice in Japanese with a friend who is also learning Japanese while I did my makeup.  I really like how the eyeliner turned out!  It's got a little heart at the front.  It's inspired by deerestdiary.makeup in Instagram.  I love her pictorials!

My "eyeliner" is actually red eyeshadow with Ben Nye mixing medium.  It turned out well and didn't crack this time! I just need to figure out how to not get hard pan in my palette because I dipped the mixing medium directly into my eyeshadow... I likely need to figure out how to scrape it into a mixing palette first.

It was not too cold, but cool enough that I could wear the new jacket my mom bought for me!

I also wore a new bodysuit I got.  It looks fine in photos, but up close I feel like it's a bit cheap-looking.  The design is really nice, though! I should have taken a turnaround video for instagram as the back has a design as well.

The first place we went ended up being an event-only place, so they weren't even open!

We went to another bar call Incoming Bar which was a pretty chill and lowkey place.  The drinks were just so-so and the food was also just ok.  The basement wasn't open, so I don't know if it gets more lively later in the evening?  It was about 9pm when we went.

Then we went to Wonder Bar, which was hosting a singles' night.  It was $800 cover with three drink tickets, so that works out to be a pretty good deal as drinks are usually $300-450.  Of course, the drinks they were offering were on the simple side, but I feel they were generous with the pouring!

They also had some dancers on the bars for a show at one point.  The bartenders were holding up lights to light up the two dancers and they were super hot and sexy!!  The one who was closer to me had breast implants that looked super perky and round even when topless (she was wearing pasties) and they interacted with guests for tips.  Overall, a much rowdier and active audience!  It may have been due to the event, and I don't know how active it normally is.

The downside is that it was immensely crowded and difficult to move around or talk to anybody.  We ended up leaving around 11:30 to catch the trains back.  I actually had a bit much to drink (1 at Incoming, 3 at Wonder) and needed a bit of a lie-down when I got out of the MRT.  I actually threw up in the flower bed a bit, but not much! And was able to get home safely.

It was the first time I've ever been unable to take off my makeup after a night out.  I was so dizzy I just kept falling asleep on the couch when I wanted to go wipe it off!  Ended up getting up around 7am to wash my face and eat some breakfast, then go right back to sleep!

Overall, a great night 😹😹😹😹😹

Did you do anything for Valentine's Day?  I think it's nice to have friends to spend time with, and I'm happy for people who have a significant other.  On stream on Friday, I was talking a bit about people who are bitter/jealous about others having a partner.  It's very small-minded to not be happy for others when they are not hurting anybody. Trying to spoil Valentine's Day for couples or make it about yourself being single seems immature and silly to me.  It's fine to celebrate or not, but being mean about others having something you don't is so childish!
