Fun with Friends Pt. 8

This has got to be the longest backlog of posts in the history of this blog!  I have not run around this many days in a row in so long!

On the second of February Exo, Bersilus, and I met up for lunch at a Spanish/Italian restaurant Exo recommended.  It was really good!!

 

 

Tapas 

I ordered gnocchi as it's a rather rare dish to see!  The gnocchi was infinitely better than the ones I made myself 😹  The sauce was very rich.  It was a touch too salty for my taste, but otherwise was very delicious!

 

The mushroom and potatoes mix was so-so.  The balsamic vinaigrette was good, but the mushrooms and potatoes themselves tasted completely plain, so that was a letdown.

The same applied to the roasted potatoes with spicy sauce.  The sauce was very mildly spicy and nice, but without it, the potatoes were flavorless. I think if they were smaller pieces, the sauce-to-potato ratio would have been much more balanced.

After eating, we.... went and ate some more 😹 I don't even know why??? Just didn't know what else to do, I guess.  We went to Poffertjes, the Dutch small pancakes shop.  We had to wait for a table (they're always packed) so went to the nearby Adidas shop.

 

This time, I tried the honeycomb poffertjes. It was tasty, but the honeycomb was actually too sweet!  Some ice cream would have balanced it out nicely.  I thought it was going to be natural honeycomb, but it was the honeycomb cookie/biscuit/sweets thing

 

Exo had work afterwards, so Bersilus and I went to Ximending and browsed the otaku building again (idk what else to call it, haha!  It's actually called WanNian Building)

Bersilus also gifted me a Cardcaptor Sakura pen, which I'd said I would buy after I got a job.  It's so cute!  A little big for my teddy bear, but maybe I should take a photo of her in cosplay with the two pens I've got now (I received the Dream Wand pen as a gift from Hiro last year!) since I actually have made cosplays for her in the original dress and the Clear Card dress.

 

Afterwards, we went to SanHe Night Market.  Tried to meet up with Hiro but he had to do some other things, unfortunately!  I got some mala stinky tofu :3  Long time no eat!

 

Another eventful and exhausting day!
