2025 Tokyo Wedding Trip Day 3

Looking back at pictures I feel like we did a lot of things!  In the morning on Friday we went to the nearby Donki. Though we have Donki in Taipei, the stuff sold at Donki in Japan is somewhat different and they have so many cosmetics brands that we don't! Including Chinese brands!!!

They didn't carry the whole line, but it was still cool to see Zeesea and Flower Knows in person!

I ended up buying a Flower Knows lipgloss~

There was also a whole floor of roomwear stuff

And some Gloomy Bear!!

Higher up there was a collection of kigurumi too!!

After 10am, Ringo, a nearby pastry shop specializing in apples (ringo means apple) opened so we went and got pastries~ I got the original and it is flaky and delicious!  It's got apple and cream inside.  So delicious.

The three of us met up with Duke at Harajuku Takeshita Street

It was still early in the day on a Friday but there were quite a few people!

I was able to find ACDC Rag and their Gloomy Bear collaboration!!  I bought an oversized T-shirt top and skirt with cute applique decorations!

I did try on the skirt before buying because it had no opening, so I had to make sure the elastic could fit over my butt.  It BARELY did... so I bought it!

The belt is fabric so it's pretty soft and doesn't hold its shape well
The embroidered Gloomy Bear are double-sided and adorable!

Detachable sleeves~

Then we made our way to LaForet for the subculture shops in the basement floors.  There's 0.5 floors, so it is a bit confusing! Like B1, B1.5, etc.
Loads of fun things to see though!

The photo spot lighting really wasn't good

There's a whole Sailor Moon Store!  the products look gorgeous~

One shop was a collection of little stands by various brands.  I really liked the fangs from this one Malicious.X but don't really have use for bags of this size or coin purses.  The designs are so cool!

I also passed by Mayla, but they didn't have their Cardcaptor Sakura collection...

Majority of the subculture shops do not allow photos, so no photos of the other brands.  I did visit CTCYTO the awesome cyber shop, and got some cat ears!

The beginning of my sax blue collection....

For lunch we went for a place we found on Google maps or something 😹 It's Chinese food!

They had good chili crisp and I added a bunch to my fried rice. They also gave us paper bibs to use when eating.  Useful for the other three as they had soup noodles that splash!

Then we went to the standalone BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT shop!

Again, no photos allowed inside, so I can't show you anything, but the staff was very nice. They also had a shop-exclusive dress that I almost wanted to get, but my friends were able to talk me out of it because I wasn't actually in love with the dress and was just getting FOMO.  I bought a necklace instead!

I did ask if they have any usakumyachan dresses with human size as well so Violet and I could get another twin set, but they did not!

After Harajuku we went to Diver City for the Gundam.  We got there around 6pm I think, and got some photos with the daytime model.

I'm so small!

We went to the smaller Gundam Base just behind here, and I saw some coaster gacha but they were sold out!

We did a bit of shopping around while waiting for the transformation.

How cute!

This cotton candy shop had ice cream too! And boba. We ate here 😻

Around 6:50 we gathered in front of the mighty Gundam again and there was already a small crowd. As it approached 7pm, the crowd got bigger and bigger until finally the transformation sequence happened!  I did film it on my phone, but I just hold up my phone towards it and watch it in person, so the filming wasn't great haha!

 After transformation

We went to the big Gundam Base afterwards to look at all the stuff! To be honest, I know 0 things about Gundam at all.... so I just looked at the works!

Luckily the big Gundam Base still had the coaster gacha! I wanted to get one as a gift for Exo but didn't know which series he had watched, so I just messaged him to ask 😹 A little bit surprise spoiled, but I didn't tell him what I was buying!  Turns out he hadn't had the chance to come here during his Japan trip right before mine, so hopefully it'll still be a nice surprise.

Duke and I ended up wandering to the nearby arcade and playing that Monster Hunter medal-pusher game for a while.  It was strangely satisfying to see the medals and balls get pushed into the slots and also we got two jackpot chances, and won a super jackpot once, but it was only the second SJP on that machine seat, and need 3 total for anything.  It's a 1/6 chance to even get it so the chances are truly slim!

There was a Conan Land exhibit as well so I browsed briefly!  I really like detective shows and movies!

Slightly creepy machine at the arcade

There were several villains claw machines with cute villains!

There was also a Doraemon shop! I like Doraemon but never actually watched the series much.  Just took a snap with the Anywhere Door.

At night. ObliquerStrategies was tired so she turned in for the night and the other three of us went to a nearby Sushiro!  There was some Vtuber collab at the time but I don't follow company Vtubers so didn't get the collab things.  They have a much bigger menu at Japan Sushiro!
Tuna platter

sea urchin

Creamy crab croquette

Salmon salad - refreshing!

A long and adventurous day! So fun~
