Whew all the Tokyo trip posts are finished! I've been touching grass more after I felt better from the cold, so I had the chance to wear something other than pajamas!
On Saturday I went to my friend's cat's birthday party! We all dressed in black and white as she is a black and white cat 😹
I wore a faux fur coat I've been dying to wear since I bought it this summer, but it actually wasn't quite cold enough yet haha! I ended up being a bit warm.
We also all brought gifts for the cat. It was fun! Though the cat was overwhelmed by the number of people so after eating, she hid.
JSK: h.NAOTO Frill
Then on Sunday I went to a boardgame meetup and wore my Ozzon Japan overskirt/JSK dress! It jangles a bit with all the charms on the ribbons and hem.
I was a bit lazy with the hair, but I hope it looks ok!
Then yesterday I impromptu went to the Pokemon Center with one of my friends. I made a pink x sax coordinate with the magical girl skirt from Amavel~
We got churros as a snack! I think this is a Korean-style churro. It's actually a loop. I got cinnamon sugar original flavor, and it was delicious and warm!
The Pokemon Center had Christmas things out, but the Pikachu with snowball was already sold out! It sold out in Japan quite quickly too, so I'm not surprised it sold out within two days here. It only just launched on Saturday!
Since work has been dead, I think I'm getting "quiet fired" so I can't afford to spend savings on plushies right now. The Christmas Pikachu is pretty large and cute!
And they put a little hat on him at the front-of-store display!
Overall, I'm doing pretty well apart from the fact that I need to find a new source of income. I've been applying at jobs, but no luck so far. Savings can last me a couple months, but I'm not going to lie - it's pretty scary!! I've been at this company since I was a student and had been hoping to stay until retirement. But after last month with only two small projects and this month being over a week in and zero projects, I'm afraid that won't be happening.
My contract doesn't expire until next year, but I need to find work before then.
Thanks for reading! Any tips you've got for job hunt or remote work are very appreciated 😿 Unfortunately virtually all my work experience is in translation/editing, which is being taken over by AI, so I may need to find an entirely new field to go into.
