2025 Tokyo Wedding Trip Day 6

On Sunday our only plan was an "afternoon tea" at 6:30pm so we had the whole day to wander!

 I got ready in the morning with most of my hair and makeup as I'd woken up at ungodly hours again.  The hair was a STRUGGLE and I had to redo one side as they were originally uneven.  Overall, the hair alone took about 45 minutes!

At least it turned out nice??

The downside of low pigtails is that they get caught in my earrings all the time.  I had to keep untangling my earrings all day!

The three of us in Ikebukuro (ObliquerStrategies, Switchboard.op, and me) went for Ringo pastries again! This time I got the sweet potato angel one and it was also great!  Since Ringo doesn't have a sit-down, we went to Takase coffee and secretly had our outside food upstairs 🙀

While the shop hadn't specifically stated no outside food, it seemed better not to just whip out our own pastries in front of staff.  And of course we cleaned up after ourselves! 

Then we walked over to Sunshine City to see what was available there, though we ended up not having enough time to browse the whole building in the end!

Again, the subculture shops mostly had "No Photo" signs, but To Alice, which I thought was a taobao shop? didn't!

 

It seems to be a more affordable lolita brand with some non-lolita fashion as well I think? 

 I mainly wanted to browse the Ozzon Japan shop and after quite some debating, purchased a piece from the anniversary collection!  It was the most expensive thing I bought all trip.

Kayz0rbeam had had food poisoning the night before but was feeling better this day, so she asked if we'd like to meet up and hang out after her hair appointment.  We headed back around 1 so we could meet at 2, and didn't get to see the Pokemon Cafe properly or the other shops!  I think there's a Pokemon Center here too?  I didn't go to a single Pokemon Center this trip somehow 🙀

We met up in Harajuku at about 2:45, I got street-snapped (!!!), browsed LaForet a bit, and went to a nearby mall to check it out as well, and then headed to tea.

The tea took place at Haute Couture Cafe which is on the second floor and is not large, but the dangling flowers helps create a sense of separation between the tables.

The theme was strawberries!

Parfait 

The parfait was my favorite!  It had various textures (most of the sweets were mousse texture) with crunchy bits and the candy and butterfly things were cute and pretty and crunchy as well!

Two of the people who were supposed to show up, didn't, so at our table we had four people eating for six.  We handed off some of the items, such as the roast pork (I didn't take photo) and some macaroni to the other table but in the end, we still had to toss quite a bit and I felt a bit embarrassed about it when the staff asked if we were done with the untouched food.

Then I changed into the Gloomy Bear x ACDC Rag outfit because we were heading directly to a rave bus.  Yes, it is a bus that you can rave on! It was also my first rave ever.  I only took a couple videos and no photos, so... sorry 😿 But it just looked like a bus, except the seats were along the sides instead of facing the front and there were lights inside!  Some of kayz0rbeam's friends DJ'd and one of the DJs had asked some of his local Japanese DJ friends to help DJ as well, so that was awesome!

Drove around Tokyo for two hours while we danced on the bus and a lot of people took photos.  The fridge in the bus was a bit broken so it'd open from time to time and our alcohol would roll about, but other than that, it was a blast!  My shoes ended up rather scuffed haha 

It was a fun-filled day!
